I applied early to Amherst, deferred.</p>

<p>White female, western Massachusetts, average household income; one parent with an education
Public high school, sends most students on to community colleges. Approximately 5 AP classes offered.</p>

<p>GPA: 102/100, 4.3/4.0
Class Rank: 1/285
SAT (highest): Math: 630 Critical Reading: 730 Writing: 770 (10 essay)
Subject Tests: Math II: 590 US History: 660 Literature: 640
ACT: 30, then 31</p>

<p>All honors/AP classes when available. I have taken French 1-4 and Spanish 1-4
APS: US History (4), English Language (5), AP Calculus, AP English Lit, AP Spanish</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: Class Treasurer (Freshman-Present), National Honor Society President, Yearbook Editor, Student Council, various other clubs/causes</p>

<p>Volunteer: local animal shelter, Soup Kitchen, tutoring</p>

<p>Work Experience: had a job summer between sophomore and junior, looking to get another one</p>

<p>Teacher Recs: good-excellent
Counselor Rec: spelling errors, not that personalized...kind of like a resume
Essays: subjective, but I think decent</p>

<p>You will certainly get into several of these. </p>

<p>Fairfield, Skidmore, Providence, Mount Holyoke are all very likely. </p>

<p>Vassar, Holy Cross, Colby are likely. Bowdoin and Tufts a little less likely but still very possible. </p>

<p>Williams, Middlebury and Brown you never know. Pretty unlikely realistically, but always worth a shot! </p>

<p>Holy Cross is SAT Optional so I would suggest not submitting scores and I think you will definitely get in.</p>
