Match (maybe?) college
Johns Hopkins
WUSTL

Already in
Rutgers
Tulane

Honestly? Your grades and extracurics are pretty good, but maybe you should try and find a couple more match schools. I mean, Rutgers is an excellent school, but if you want to find something in between there and the ivy league you might want to diversify because the IV is a total %$#* shoot. Good luck!!!

Thanks. Anyone else?

Your posted profile is quite strong, especially your GPA, class rank & geographical location. Although you may be admitted to Brown–as you are certainly well qualified-- you are a longshot for the PLME program. All of your schools are reasonable choices for you so long as you remember that not all qualified candidates are admitted. If I had to guess, then in at Brown, but not PLME, in at Cornell, possible at Columbia, in at JHU, in at WUSTL, and you already know the results for Rutgers & Tulane where the only issue remaining might concern merit scholarship money. P.S. I am assuming that when you wrote “SD” for location that you meant South Dakota (a big plus) and not San Diego (heaven on earth).

Columbia, Brown, and JHU probably wants good ECs, something they might value over grades. I’m familiar with those schools because kids at my school who were accepted had one thing in common: GOOD ECs. While they had the 2260 SAT and Top 1% Class Rank and 4.0 UW, they all had good ECs such as Intel, Soccer, Tennis, and etc. Good luck though and maybe your essay will highlight the things you are not stating here on the forum.

Thanks. Yeah, I’m from South Dakota, far from heaven on earth.
