Individual Research Work in Nanobiotechnology Field; fabrication of devices for tissue engineering(cool stuff)-->Definitely interested in this field as shown in research opps and other ECs; a definite hook-point in my App

I've applied to a numerous amount of summer programs (pre-college/internships/etc.) so hopefully one of those works out

Nothing too spectacular…but there is stuff I haven’t mentioned…Oh well, I’ll hope for the best!

any advice/insight would be greatly appreciated.

I do believe you will get in quite handily unless your recommendations specifically say not to take you (which I don't think would ever happen). As for advice, try and do well on the APs, those credits really will help!

1460 is terrible? Are you serious?

Kaydog: William and Mary is not the only college i'm interested in. As an instate option, its very cheap (as well as UVA). For other prestigious colleges, I would need to raise my SAT I score to become more competitive (which i think i did on the march test date)

There is no school where 1460 is below the average of admits. None. To say the score is terrible is either because you don't undestand how to read the ranges, or you were looking to draw responses of "oh no, you did great". Either way, you have a very good chance in state at W & M.

You're SATs are too low. You will get rejected.

Ummm....seriously. Its an obvious joke, as you are too mr. collegehopeful #1.

you will get in, relax and keep doing what your are doing

I apologize if I came across as unhelpful, CH#1, I just don't understand why someone so smart would come in here bemoaning their SAT score that is in the top quartile for W&M. Its ok to try and seam modest, but it can go too far.

Anyway, your resume looks great, and as I said before - getting good AP scores will be a ton of help!

duely noted.

CH#1, i personally find it ironic that you get on here and say your SATs are too low, and the second someone agrees with you, you flip out so immaturely. if you post your stats up like this you can't just expect to be complimented all the time, whether or not it's a joke. your rudeness to heretohelp was also uncalled for.

grow up, CH#1.

Advice? Well, saying you're a "state finalist" for Governor's School LifeSci is a bit of fluff to anyone that knows the selection process, as is calling the AOS "VERY RIGOROUS and selective" - it's pretty much the fall-back for those who didn't get into Jefferson. Both of these are adequately impressive in and of themselves, so be low-key, and let them speak for themselves.

Speaking of "low-key", you've pretty much mangled that opportunity here, so too late to give that advice, but in the future, a little discretion may be appropriate.

Meanwhile, you can always hope no adcoms read this thread from this, or any of the other "25" top schools you've posted to, because it would take all of about 30 seconds for any one of them to figure out who you are if they cared to - LCPS --> AOS --> Wolfe, just waiting for the Loudoun Governor's School attendee list to be published or any of a half-dozen other ways.

The Internet is the place where stupidity lives forever.

So, a last piece of advice; you just might want to brush up on those social skills, or at least, those apology skills.

CollegeHopeful#1, I surely hope you don't get into college with the high levels of immaturity you have shown in this thread. You shouldn't be applying to prestigious colleges like William and Mary. The best you could hope to achieve is a nice pre-school or maybe NoVa.

How rude of you to insult everyone who is just trying to help you with your chances. You jerk.

On a side note, very impressive resume! Surely you will get into William and Mary.

yeh my bad. i didn' realize i was coming off htat way. peace brohas.

btw. collegedude47 is one of my friends just messin with me! haha best of luck to all of you and to all a good night.
