Chance an in-state transfer?

Hi guys. I'm a student at a large in-state community college that will be applying for to JOMC as a Journalism major for Fall 2015. By the time I apply, I will have 41 credits.

Here are my stats:
- 4.0 GPA
- Upward trend since high school. Finished with a 2.9 UW GPA. Definitely didn't try my hardest.

EC's:
- Have my own sports blog
- President's list twice
- (HS) FBLA member. Helped organize and participate in a small scale fundraiser for veterans.
- (HS) Helped organize/participate in "trunk or treat"
- Phi Theta Kappa member
- Part time job. Will have been there a little under 2 years by the time I apply. Received a promotion in March 2014.
- (HS) Roughly 40 hours of volunteer work spread out between a local soup kitchen and retirement home.
- LoR(s) will come from English professor last Fall that really liked my essays, also talked to me a few times about where I wanted to transfer to, he also knows what I want to do for a career. Also may ask my communications professor from last Fall too who attended UNC.
-Essays will be revised to perfection. I feel really good about my 'why transfer' essay so far. I think I have a great background story for why I had to attend a CC, also I explain why I chose my major.

Any advice/opinions are welcome. Thanks!
