Now to the disappointing part. This is one area about which I'm concerned.

Are these academics going to get me rejected?
9th - 89% ; A grade ; top 5%
10th - 91.5 ; A+ grade ; top 5%
Changed my school. New school has horrible marking policies. 60-100 gets an A grade!!

11th - 90 ; A grade ; top 5%
12th - I got less. But if converted to grades, it's straight 'A' s.
(got a doc's certificate recommending rest during couple of papers which got my percentage down)

SAT 1 : writing October. Hitting 2200s in prac tests. Expecting 2200+

SAT 2 : maths 2, eng lit and french in November.

LORs : one from Indian cricket board vice president. LORs from teachers are exemplary. Class teacher says "one of the best I've ever seen". blushes :p

Hey!

i think Wharton is kind of reach for everybody! you have good stats though… i’m not sure emphasising cricket could be helpful for getting into business school! but if you think it is necessary or it means alot to “YOU” don’t listen to what i’m sayin!

as i said. wharton is kind of reach for every body… ALTHOUGH not applying for fin aid could be a significant help for your application. with good SAT I and IIs you can have a real shot…

Hey thanks for your feedback fadaee. Hahah exactly, i’m not listening to that :stuck_out_tongue: yep, I’m working hard on them. Thanks again

Any more opinions?

I’m INDIANBOY!!! just like u but yeah its a reach but u got a shot

Indianboy1234, thanks appreciate your deep insight :stuck_out_tongue: best of luck! any more?

Hey guys. I’m international too. I heard that internationals don’t get aid if we apply ED. Is that true ?

Bump 10 char

^You do get aid, but they’re not need-blind when it comes to admissions (i.e. the amount of aid you need/request will impact your likelihood of admission).

ED deadline is approaching D: bump

ED deadline is approaching D: bump

I’d agree in that not applying for Fin Aid could help you if you can afford paying full. Otherwise, I think you have some pretty great chances even as an international.

Fortunately, I’m not applying for Aid.

Forget wharton … go to harvard

wow, I’ll be shocked if you don’t get in. ED results in two weeks! hope those Indian gods are powerful :)

You’re definitely a strong candidate. Good luck!

Very solid candidate buddy … I will be surprised if you don’t get in as long as your essays are decent

Hey people, wharton1995 here. I can’t sign from that account don’t know why. Thanks so much your replies! just one little questions. I have my scores. SAT reasoning : 2140 (800 in maths)
SAT subject Maths level 2 : 710 literature : 600 :(

How bad is it? Can one bad score lead to an outright rejection?

Definitely not, they will obviously take a more holistic view of candidates … Your EC’s might just save you

It won’t lead to outright rejection no. Your scores need to be absolutely horrible to warrant outright rejection. Yes, your 600 in lit will hurt you, but this is a holistic process. So, your ECs will compensate but we don’t really know how the adcom weights everything but you still have a good shot.
