National Merit Commended

Your SAT scores are amazing, as are your APs and ECs and awards. I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t be accepted. You have a lot of community service hours as well, especially for a guy; you look very likely to me.

What happened to your PSAT score that you’re only National Merit Commended, though?

^^^^ thanks! bumpppppp

^^^^^^^^^^Bumpppp

Your high scores and state championships will help a lot. No way for us to interpret your GPA, though.

^Lol thanks, but you still didn’t chance me!

Do you know of your class rank?

I think you’re definitely qualified to apply. Whether or not you will get in is a whole different story. Good luck.

it’s a yes or no question!!
0 dot chance dot

thanksss

bumpppppppp

It seems to me that you have quite a strong chance. Stellar test scores and your increasing GPA trend throughout high school work in your favor. In addition, your extracurriculars are clearly formidable and the Science Olympiad and violin awards clearly denote strong commitment. I would have to echo the concern of a previous poster on the absence of National Merit Semifinalist and it would have been excellent if you could have made it onto varsity tennis. That aside I would say that you are unhooked but nevertheless above even many asians from NJ. The ED application to SEAS was a smart move, as no one else in the school is applying there.

thanks,
Dr Mordechai I

very strong chance

bumpppppppp

You have received multiple opinions, what more do you want?

^ I wish collegeconfidential had a like button so I could like that comment

typical Indians, thinking this is pathetic.
you are AMAZING.
i’m Indian too… and you’re probably smarter than me…
but I’M APPLYING TOO! we’ll see!

oh, but i’m not applying ED (just clarifying)

columbia isn’t my first choice BUT I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
my research lab partner from two summers ago goes here now

bumppppppppp
