Chance an Indian student please!!!!!!!

Schools-
UPenn (ED already sent)
Cornell
Georgetown
Villanova
Amherst
Colgate
Williams
I'm applying to Penn, Cornell, Georgetown and Villanova for Business and the rest for Eco.
Stats-

SAT- 1st attempt: CR 680 W 660 M 720
2nd attempt: CR 730 W 710 M 740

SAT II- Literature 720, Math I 720

Got 92% in ICSE (Grade 10), been averaging around 75-80% in grade 11 and 12.

ECs- Been quizzing as a member of school team since grade 8, have won a number of national and state-level competitions.
Was a delegate at school's annual MUN, won a high commendation
Member of school's Colalife chapter
Done street plays since grade 9 with friends on the problems in Indian society today. This is done on a purely amateur basis without props.

Additional Circumstances- I switched late from Science to Commerce in grade 11, due to which I was exempted from taking the grade 11 first terminal examinations. My final terminal marks were taken as my year's cumulative.
I had dengue during my grade 12 first term exams as well as during the SAT II exams (November 2010)
My essay is good, although I don't think it'll stand out. Teacher recs will be good, focusing on the fact that I've caught up with the class despite switching late and counselor rec should be excellent.
Oh and I'm applying for aid.
Please chance me!!!!!!!

No chances, but switching before the first term exams in Grade 11 isn’t late. =/

I switched a week before the exams.

Where are the safeties?

^gone to the dogs as usual…

I’m not applying safeties.

^Why not?

10char.

Because there aren’t too many good colleges for undergrad business which give good aid to int’l students. And frankly speaking, I wouldn’t mind staying in India.

If not safeties, you should try for some matches or near matches too at least. The least difficult to get into school I see on your list is Colgate and even that is a high match-near low reach looking at your profile.

The colleges you’re presently looking at are pretty tough to get into. UPenn’s ED acceptance rates are pretty high but not for Wharton+financial aid applicant.

[Top Undergraduate Business Programs 2010 - BusinessWeek](<a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?)

Check these out.

@perfectpixie- I agree with you but I’m not finding any good colleges which give substantial aid to foreign students apart from liberal arts colleges.
@coolblaze- Thanks

Hey I’d love it if someone could tell me about Washington in St. Louis’ undergrad business course. Thanks

How about Babson? Your scores are higher than its average.

Does it give aid to internationals?

It doesn’t, as far as I’m aware. :S
What about Emory?

I’m just saying Babson has like at 30-40 admit rate.

Go rob a bank, IMO. hahahaha.

Why don’t you check out US news and then see how much aid each school provides for international students? I can’t help you out for business schools but a lot of LAC’s do offer good fin. aid to international students. Check out Macalaster college, MN.

BU? They have a lot of scholarships.

Babson and Bentley are great business schools that could be potential safeties (not sure about FA though). Macalester is definitely an option, from what I’ve heard it’s an excellent school, it’s a little less competitive since it’s in the Midwest, and they have a brilliant Econ + Statistics program.

I hate to break it down to you, but -

UPenn (ED already sent) - Might make it in.
Cornell - Very low chances
Georgetown - Good chances
Villanova - Fair chances
Amherst - Very low chances (lower than Cornell)
Colgate - High chances
Williams - Very low chances (as good as Amherst)
Also, BU sucks with aid to intls. Try looking for more safety colleges.
