Should I apply for princeton or not?
Location: Sweden
GPA: 19.8/20.0 (between 3.9 - 4.0)
SAT: M670 CR550 (!) W620 (will retake in january, and will improve my scores now that I know what mistakes I'm making!) Hopefully math to 700 - 720, CR over 600 and W almost 700)
SAT II: scores aren't out yet
Extracurriculars: 5 different clubs at school, volunteer tutor, used to play the piano, cross-country (very passionate about it) and ambitious summer activities (show that school means a lot to me).
Recommendation letters: Super good! One of them said that I was an extraordinary student who besides excellent academic achievements posses talents in several other fields as well.

Should I apply or should I not?

ur not a super strong candidate, although I don’t know if being a sweden is a plus or a minus

OK, so you are aiming for around 2000 on the SATs; by all means you should have a shot at applying, but realistically with those scores it will be tough. The CR score is especially low unfortunately (Princeton’s middle 50 percent of admits get 690-780 in CR, 700-790 in M, and 700-780 in W), and when you consider you are an international competing probably for like one or two spots for students from your country, you really need to bring that score up.

In any case, you should apply because you have nothing to lose, given you’ve done your testing and got your recs organized…
