Chance an international for Brown/Georgetown/Tufts, etc?

I am a Junior from the Dominican Republic. I go to a tiny private school (my graduating class has around 20 students) but I graduate with an American diploma.

UW GPA: 3.8
(School does not weigh GPA or provide class rank. I received the “Top Student” award in my grade both sophomore and junior years and I will probably be valedictorian although schools won’t know that in the time of my application.

Senior year courseload: AP Span Lit, AP Psych (at school- only two APs offered), AP English Lit, AP Micro/Micro (online), Physics, Calculus, Yearbook.

*Recommendations:
- Teacher: Spanish (will be excellent, he loves me and is a great writer), Calculus (also loves me and gave me the award for her class last year even though math is not my forte)
- Counselor: I have a very good relationship with him and he is very experienced, will not be generic.

What are my chances at each of these?

I will chance back!

You seem to be in the range for a lot of the schools you listed. I think the only reach in there would be Brown and possibly Northwestern. Rest are matches/high matches.

You’d definitely benefit from a higher SAT score (just cross the 2200 line), and one or two more 700+ subject tests. ECs look pretty good despite being a bit generic.

Chance back?

If you can get a 700+ on your subject tests and bring up your SAT, I think you can do it! Middlebury and Brown might be tough though … Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1196782-chances-brown-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

I will do my best to raise my SAT score but I don’t expect it to go up too much :S
Do you recommend I apply to Georgetown EA (they don’t deny anyone) or will it be a waste of my time?

Honestly, if you’re not passionate about Georgetown, don’t apply EA! If you love one of the other schools apply ED and see what happens! This is a chance thread for a reason, these aren’t concrete you will or won’t get in so much as this is what other people think your chances are! The only way you’ll know is if you apply

bumppping this

bump 10char

You have a very good shot at the schools listed.

 1. Brown - mid reach
 2. Georgetown (EA) - reach
 3. Northwestern - mid reach
 4. Tufts - match
 5. Vassar - match
 6. UVA - match
 7. Middlebury - mid reach
 8. Northeastern (EA) - match
 9. Emerson (EA) - match/safety
 10. Barnard - high reach

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1222539-chance-urm-these-schools-thank-you.html</a></p>

Those seem like perfect schools in your range, with the exception of Brown (mid reach) and Georgetown (mid reach). Although I wouldn’t expect to get into them, don’t lose hope because you definitely have a chance.
