CHANCE ME FOR ALL THE IVIES + STANFORD

I NEED FINANCIAL AID!

@Jelloshozz :

You look like a competitive applicant on paper. Just keep in mind that the Ivy Leagues and Stanford are reaches for everyone. Being an international student means that you will probably have more competition too.

Also, you mention that you need financial aid. Just make sure you check each schools’ policies for FA. I don’t know specifics, but at some colleges, international students are not eligible for financial aid. At others, they are, but not as much aid is offered as for domestic applicants. In addition, certain schools are not need blind to international applicants. Check out this website for more info:

Thanks for replying back. The link is really helpful!!

Would my homeschool status hurt my chances?

@Jelloshozz

I don’t know much about homeschooling, but with your impressive AP scores, I’m confident that any school will believe that you had a good homeschooling program.

Did you take foreign language classes, English, History or social science classes?
Your listed scope of classes is largely math and CS-based, so that could be an issue.

@“aunt bea”

Yes I did take all of those classes.

Is my homeschool status going to be a problem??

Yes and no. The schools have to base your homeschooling record on something.

US home-schoolers are typically followed and advised by their home school districts. If the universities are unfamiliar with your system of education, it could be an issue.

I can’t imagine how home schooling could be a problem when you’ve taken all kinds of exams and nailed them all.As long as there is substantial evidence that you took the exams your self (a couple of countries have developed a rep for institutionalizing cheating), you should be in good shape.

@“aunt bea”

Can I PM you?

Yes.
