There are also several top Public LACs you might want to consider.

SUNY Geneseo in New York is one of them. The school attracts top students (Avg. SAT 1340, GPA 94), professors are excellent, the campus is beautiful with strong acadmic programs.

Considering the pool you are in - not that great of a chance I think. 4 out of the HYPSM doesn’t even consider need, and the 5th has a rate of 7.9% overall - very very low.

You are within range (score-wise) for all of HYPSM and could realistically try for all of them but the chances of getting in are not fantastic for you.

I would say you have a pretty decent shot although I think the international aspect of your application will work against you. From what I have heard, it is extremely competitive for int. applicants. Otherwise good scores, ok ECs, though essays could reveal a passion or interest not apparent from what you have listed. GL

I think you will get in one of the HPYSM - but probably not all of them.
The fact that you don’t need FA will definitely contribute to your chances.
but still, there are a lot of applicants who doesn’t need FA and shares the fantastic stats.
Write a GREAT essay

I like your volunteer experience and test scores, but seeing that your an international applicant(specifically south asia), you might run into some trouble. I would definitely have some backups, but you might have a shot at maybe getting into one of those.

Dhaaaa, I have to agree with Beowulf even though he could have been a little less abrupt. Cambridge is one of two unis in the UK considered to be at Ivy level (as I’m guessing you are aware) but you still consider it a safety? Getting an interview does not give you bragging rights either - 90% of Cambridge applicants get an interview. You may well be admitted but considering it a safety is a risky decision.

Edit: Also, over here, you’re just numbers. We don’t really consider ECs as far as I can tell. A lot is dependent on your personal statement too. Good luck.

ok… as far as my essay is concerned, my common app was reviewed by two of the former harvard admission officers and they both were really really impressed. Guys what do you think how much would that help me?

Holy **** you are a smarmy little ■■■■■■■… like its3amagain said: 90% of applicants get interviews at Cambridge. Congrats on not being the bottom 10% of applicants.
