Chance an international student for Columbia, Brown, Princeton, Yale

You wrote that you have a gold and a bronze medals at an International Math Competition  which competition was it? the IMO?

no, it was an international mathematicians competition in India. I participated in the Junior section, being in 8th grade (freshman equivalent)

Bumpā€¦

Bounty123, thatā€™s my thread =)))

I think Princeton, Yale, and Brown are reaches and Columbia a low reach
Tufts and everything else I think are matches

Are my chances going to be significantly improved if I get, say, 730 on CR and 770 on writing sections of the SAT?

Though your scores are not very good but pretty normal for most of the universities youā€™ve listed, your EC-s and achievements are just GREAT. I think you have really good chances because of those.
Try to arrange interviews if you still can, that will raise your chances even more!

Thank you for your reply Kvantri! I know it about the scores, but Iā€™m hoping to raise them next time I take the SAT (the last one, finally!) as for interviews, no ivy alums live in Siberia or even close) even though I did put ā€œwant to be contacted if possibleā€ or smth on the supplements

try arranging interviews through skype, that works for them sometimes as well. And good luck

thank you Kvantri, Iā€™ll try that! best of luck to you too!

your SATs I score are below from what most of the ivies acceptd but still have a shot at getting accepted

Honestly, I have no idea when it comes to international students and financial aid, but based on your overall resume, Iā€™d say that any of the Ivies or Williams will be reaches. I think you should definitely focus in on some aspects that separate you from everyone else, such as a unique hook.
