Chance an international student for UT Austin

Hi! I am an Aisan female and following are my stats:

O Levels: 6 As and 2 As.
AS Level: 3 As, 1 C
A Levels: Accounting (A
), Business Studies (A*), Economics (B)
SAT: 1940
GPA: – (we don’t have a GPA system)
Class rank: – (not those either)

Intended school: McCombs (for Accounting)

Extracurricular Work:

  • x1 Marketing internship (160 hours)
  • Tutor to high school kids (168+ hours)
  • Tutor to underprivileged children (320+ hours)
  • Babysitting (275+ hours)
  • Community service for a local orphanage (about 27 hours a year)
  • Writer for two local and one international magazine
  • Music (vocal)
  • Sports (table tennis, badminton, and throw ball)
  • Debating Society - 2 years
  • Set up a stall in the school’s Bake School (2013) and made the highest profit
  • Run a personal blog

Honors:

  • Valedictorian in O Levels (class of 2013)
  • Came off as fourth best at an Accounting Quiz orgranized by CIMA-UK
  • Full tuition scholarship winner in high school (for 4 years)

Leadership positions:

  • Head Girl (class of 2013)
  • President Literary Society.
  • Member of the student council (middle school and high school)

Applied for financial aid: No

Demonstrated interest: None! International applicant so can’t visit or interview. What should I do?!

Not looking so good for accounting in my opinion. Being an international makes it tough, plus your SAT is a little low.

@danfer91 Thank you for chancing me. Can you suggest some other schools in Texas for accounting where I may have a reasonable shot? I am also looking at Southern Methodist University.

Pretty much anywhere but UT and Rice. SMU is a very good accounting school. A&M is probably a little better and would be worth applying to. U of H is also a good school for accounting you would very likely be accepted to.
