Im an international student....
Chance me for these schools
And i can pay for all these schools

UCB
UCLA
CARNEGIE MELLON
UMICH
CORNELL
UIUC
RICE
STANFORD (I might apply but not sure)
COLUMBIA
USC

Bump

As a full pay student with excellent stats and mostly stats-based admission
UCB=> if your essays are good, then your odds are very good
UCLA => same thing
CARNEGIE MELLON => unlikely
UMICH => match
CORNELL=> reach for everyone + SAT 2 problem
UIUC=> you’re in
RICE=> reach for everyone + SAT2 problem
STANFORD => apply if you want to see, but your odds are low because they like outstanding EC’s, such as national titles, and you don’t have that
COLUMBIA => this is very different from the other colleges on your list; hopefully, you chose it because of the core,
not because of NYC, and that is clear.
USC => match

Note that if you’re from Korea and you took Korean as your second SAT Subject, it’ll be considered a problem at the schools that require 2 SAT subjects (since it proves nothing - one should hope that in 17 years in a country, you mastered as much as what Americans can learn in 3 years… AND it would show you go for the easy way out so not a good proof of character).

@MYOS1634 so is columbia also a reach for me

I’m also an international student but I think you’re chances for all of your mention schools are above average! I mean if you understand that Columbia is a reach for everyone despite their scores, I think you really have great chances. Look at you SAT scores man, perhaps the ECs are a little on the down side, as long as your essays are great, you’ll be more than fine honestly :slight_smile: Way to go

@alafae‌ thanks :slight_smile:

Bump

bupm

Good Stats.

Columbia low reach ?!?!

I think you got leadership and academics covered. You don’t have as many ECs as compared to some other people…but some of the California schools are kinda radical in admissions decisions, so keep your fingers crossed
