Chance An OOS Hispanic

<p>Briefly, I like this school a lot and am thinking about applying early out of state. Any opinions?</p>

<p>Intended Major: Classics (if it helps)
SAT I: 800 CR, 800 W, 670 M (1470/2270)
SAT II: US History 800, Literature 800
GPA: 3.88 UW, my school does not weight but I have taken the most difficult classes available.
APs:
Biology 5
European History 5
US History 5
Latin Vergil 5
Class Rank: top 10%, around 4 of 55
Race: Hispanic
Essays: of a high caliber (adults have already reviewed them)
Recommendations: 2 teachers love whatever I do, another has worked closely with me on a school project</p>

<p>So, should I apply early or not? Any comments, suggestions, advice? Also, for the essays, is it in any way detrimental for me to pick the option to submit an essay from another school?

<p>OOS can go lots of ways, but I really think you’re fine, especially with the hispanic factor…</p>

<p>I think you look great, and I don’t think applying EA could hurt you.</p>

<p>Yeah, you’re fine to go ahead and apply EA. I don’t think that bringing your GPA from 3.88 to 3.9x after midterm grades will have much of an effect on admissions so there is no reason you really should even consider applying 2nd deadline unless you wanted an extra time to write the essays.</p>

<p>Like jambaby said, OOS can go anyway, but you have a really good shot.</p>
