Chance an out of state student?

<p>Hello, I'm just curious to know what you guys think of my chances since I'm an out of state student. </p>

<p>Located: NY
GPA: ~3.4-3.5 UW
SAT: 1500 (CR,M,W) 1030 (CR,M)
7 AP Classes (Lowest grade I received in one of those classes was a 88)
FBLA (Won States in Client Service)
Chinese Cultural Exchange (Went this past summer, raised all funds by myself)
Played Basketball Freshman-JV
Worked at local supermarket for 2 years
Internship with local news station this year
Internship with Holiday Inn Express
Most of my extra-curricular classes were business oriented
Great letters of recommendation </p>

<p>I'm looking to major in Hospitality Management since it is one of the top in the world!

<p>You should be fine. Apply early. Just know that you’re likely not going to get any aid with those stats and MSU is VERY expensive OOS. Just something to keep in mind :). </p>

<p>Thanks for your response! I was looking on another website and they said my projected net amount owed will be ~$5,500 (I come from a very low income family), could you let me know if I have been bamboozled.</p>

<p>That could be your efc. Your efc is NOT what you’re expected to pay, it’s just an index for federal aid eligibility. Try the calculator on msu’s site.</p>
