Chance an Out-of-State Transfer

I have been stressing over these application essays and am trying to figure out how much effort I have to put into them.

Here are my stats:

Out-of-State transfer applicant (borderline sophomore/junior status)
Civil Engineering major
Hispanic
3.7 GPA , 3.89 in math and science
Ive completed the basic engineering core-calc,chem,physics courses

Extracurriculars:
a couple of honor societies
Member of American Society of Civil Engineers
Member of Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge project team

SAT scores:
not good, but wont matter if I get junior standing.

I have already written one great essay but I am still working on the "Why UIUC?" essay. based on what you see, do you think I need a great second essay?

Thank you!

in. don't bother too much about the essays.

100% if your GPA is not from a community college, 95% in otherwise.

high gpa + some EC involvement + hispanic..
Unless your SAT and HS are ridicilously low, you should be fine. As you said, just apply for junior standing.

don't worry :P

I think you need to get good Scores on your test to get in

Test scores don't matter for junior transfer, they are not considered for admission.

so does anyone else agree with explodapop?

ok I got in :)
