Essays (rating 1-10, details):

Why UChicago: I think this was well-done. I talked about how much I value knowledge and also lightly touched on my interest in the new molecular engineering program. 8/10

Favorites: I talked about my favorite language (German) and how various German sports, films, and history have carved a sense of belonging for me. I'd give it a 7.5/10.

"Why are you here?": I really liked my supplement. I'm not sure if they will because it was very serious and not quirky, but I feel that it was a very accurate representation of me. 9/10

Recommendations (rating 1-10, details):

I never got to read any of them.

1: My AP Chemistry likely wrote a great recommendation. She always talks about a struggle or something of interest when writing letters, and she talked about my uniqueness in that I'm an international adoptee. It's likely very interesting. 10/10

2: My AP English teacher is a great guy and thought highly of me. This should be good. 8/10

3: My last recommendation is from my AP German teacher. I've had her for a few years, and we get along really well. Plus she likely talked about everything I've done with German Club. 8/10

Counselor Rec: Nothing special probably. Didn't know her well. 6/10
Interview: Didn't have one.

Other

State (if domestic applicant): MI
Country (if international applicant): N/A

Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): First generation, being an international adoptee since my teacher talked about it in my essay?

If you want me to chance back, I will!

You are a strong applicant for sure. Your chances are better than average I would say.
