I’m not really familiar with a lot of the schools on your list, so I’ll focus on the ones I do know about :)

UVA- low reach; I think you are qualified for this school, but they can be a little finicky when it comes to admissions

UMBC- match/safety;you fit right in with their range of SAT scores

UNC- match; this schools accepts a lot of students and your stats fit in with those students

Boston University- low reach; you could get in if your teacher recommendations were good or great.

Georgetown- reach; this is a very competitive school. In order to get in to this one you would have to write good essays and get good teacher recommendations

Good luck :)

interesting list of stats. Your ECs on their own seem quite strong, but a 3.3 gpa (with 2.2 freshman) is a sizeable detriment for many of the schools you listed (Georgetown, ND, outta state UVA/UNC in particular.) It will still be a challenge to overcomes ofr the other schools on your list but given the difficulty of your schedule, you still stand a decent chance with your sat scores. I’d especially focus on NYU, it has a reputation for focusing on SATs far more heavily than gpa in admissions from what I hear (granted it will still be something of a reach. ) Being a liberal arts school, Rochester may look past the low gpa and more grealty value your strong EC’s and decent test scores.

Could you chance me back also?

To the Top

honestly i wouldnt apply to georgetown notre dame, and uva. unc will be very tough due to your gpa same with northeastern, and nyu.

Update: SAT is 2140, not too happy, but I will probably take the ACT, aiming for a 33-34. Still wondering chances, thanks.

Might also look at Holy Cross very good school with fantastic business alumni network on Wall Street and corporate world. HC has very nice campus and is comparable to ND, Gtown, and Villanova.

hm you have good ECs & decent testing but your gpa is a bit low. but you never know! most colleges look at the complete package!
Chance me?
