In-state Park? I wish. It’s incredibly difficult, according to people from my school (I go to one of the 4 schools you listed, not specifying which one though).
By “auto merit”, you mean if you make above a certain SAT/ACT cutoff, you automatically get money? Wow, didn’t even know that existed.
Not a good use of time in my opinion. Courses are meant to be taken with others, a social experience. You run the risk of looking like a loner. EQ is equally important (if not more) than IQ… Colleges are looking for leaders…
Yes. Lots of schools. But the most aggressive will be Bama, UAH, Miss State. Murray State has a table. ARIZONA doesn’t require a test. Others don’t publish a table but like FSU, U of SC…there’s many across the country. Mizzou. Missouri S&T. A ton. And a ton of smart kids go to these schools.

Wow, thank you so much for listing all of this, I definitely have a lot of research to do.
Edit: Seems like this forum auto highlights keywords, the word research is highlighted
If you become a National Merit Finalist, I’d strongly consider looking at UT-Dallas. They have a strong CS program and they give a full ride to Finalists. There are also many colleges where you would be likely to receive merit aid, and some don’t have a chart but if the net price calculator asks for your GPA and standardized test scores, it will provide a minimum expected amount of merit aid as well (and there are many reports of people receiving more than what the NPC quoted them).
I wouldn’t worry about creating a list of colleges to apply to right now. Instead, I’d explore real-life experiences and new subjects, etc. If your family goes on vacation, see if there’s a college nearby that you can visit, just to get a feel for it. Or even being in the Triangle area, go visit Duke (mid-size private), UNC (mid to large public), NC State (large public), and Meredith (small private). Yes, I know Meredith is a women’s college and you are male, but you can still get a sense of what a college that size might feel like. Or if your family is heading to Charlotte, stop off at Davidson to get the feel of a small private. Start browsing college websites and find features that you like and features that you would prefer to avoid. There are so many options out there, and by learning about what is available, you are likelier to have a list of colleges that are a better fit for you by the time you need to do the college search for real.
