Chance and schools

asian, male, immigrated here from china at age 8/9.
attends 1 of nyc's private ivy league prep schools

freshmen year-bad, with 4 c s

sophmore year- ap ab cal A, chem A-, Game Design and Programming A-, english C+, french II C, Speech B-, Music Theory A. History B+

junior year- AP BC Cal-A, Ap physics B B+, Ap comp sci B+, Ap us history c+(term paper dropped my grade so much, english b-, french C+( teacher taught orally, hardest class i've ever taken b/c i could not understand what she was saying)
a lot happened this year, computer science was bad b/c changed teachers 3-4 times with a lot of them college students or C++ programmers, not java programmers. Physics I was caught off guard first semester, but eventually got full marks second semester, almost failed english first semester, but eventually learned to get a b+ second semester,

Sat 1, 2080, expecting 2200 or more next time
sat II, math II 800, chem 760, physics 760(could have done better), us history 730
going to take Multivariable Calc, AP Chem, AP Physics C, AP stats, Advanced C++ programming, english, American politics next year. If I get As in all but english (prob get a B), how much does this help

recs and essays are going to be somewhere between good and excellent, leaning more towards the latter.

ec: Sports manager during fresh and sophmore year and quit junior year( took up way too much time and thats why I think my grades are so low.
School paper writer for a year
math team 2 years
peer tutor in math 1 year
nyssma level 6 piano player
did 4 years of medical research, but officially, only 2 years on record due to age.(hoping to get a research paper out with some of my colleagues at the lab)

going into ChemE, SoftE, CS, math, business or biochemistry
what are my chances for
CMU
JHU
Cornell
Rpi
Geogia Tech
NYU
BC
URoch
any other schools?

You do have a very rigorous course load. However, there isn’t much that is impressive besides your research. Your GPA must be kind of bad, but maybe your college will see that your school is difficult. What is your approximate class rank? What scores did you get on your AP tests? Assuming you bring up your SAT to 2200+ and write a good essay:

CMU - match/high match
JHU - low reach
Cornell - low reach
RPI - high match
Georgia Tech - low match/match
NYU - low reach/reach
BC - match
URoch - match

A few schools I would suggest glancing at are University of Michigan, University of Chicago, Northwestern, and Tufts.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1175148-chance-me.html</a></p>

CMU - a lot of asians at CMU who probably have gotten better humanities grades, so this could be difficult but they really like comp sci kids
JHU - another one thats going to be really difficult because humanities is important to them
Cornell - ivies will not tolerate consistent C grades, even if you apply to their engineering program
Rpi - probably a decent match
Geogia Tech - you have like a 70% shot here
NYU - could be tough; they have a large undergrad population so thats on your side, but its been harder to get into NYU in the past few years
BC - probably difficult as well; being a jesuit school its actually kind of helpful that youre asian, but BC has had a dramatically decreasing accepting rate in the past four years
URoch - you could most likely get in here

The guy above suggested University of Michigan, University of Chicago, Northwestern, and Tufts but even some of these are going to be difficult
Northwestern and Tufts are probably no gos because their engineering programs have gotten more selective and they try to admit all around strong applicants (so your Cs are worrisome)
UChicago is also extremely selective but because they tend to lean more towards humanities, computer science gives you an edge
UMich is actually a great suggestion, though, as their engineering is up and coming and theyd be more lenient in the application process, especially being a state school

does your school have a counseling program?
if so what did they suggest
