<p>Hello, I thought I'd try this out - my stomach is in butterflies about my NYU (CAS) application, so anyone willing to chance me would certainly be wonderful.</p>

<p>Intended major: Journalism</p>

<p>Unweighted: 3.89
Weighted: 4.48</p>

<p>AP classes:
US History, Psych, Lang, Euro, Lit</p>

<p>SAT: Not submitted (the SAT blowwws)
ACT: composite - 29 (with writing - 31)</p>

<p>EC's - Editor on Award winning newspaper, Drama since freshman year, Debate since sophomore year, NHS</p>

<p>Awards - National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar, AP scholar, JEA commentary write-off competition winner (2009)</p>

<p>Side notes: Military dependent (7 schools in 12 years), Recieved Press Pass to two of Obama's rallies and the Inauguration</p>

<p>NYU is my top choice school. I am also applying to BU, Emerson, University of Chicago and John Cabot. I was just accepted into Ithaca :)</p>

<p>I think you have a good shot at NYU.
You’re a National Hispanic Scholar, and NYU looks for applicants from “culturally diverse” backgrounds.
Your grades are good and you have a good amount of AP classes
ACT Score is not amazing but still pretty good </p>

<p>My guess is that you’ll get in. I honestly think being hispanic will give you that added push you might need. </p>
