Most applications cap your listed activities...which ones stand out?

Again, thank you so much for any feedback.

Hey, it looks like we’re both from moco! How is that IB program going?
Your stats are very competitive for jhu. And the fact that you’re taking many challenging classes (at a magnet school) makes up for your GPA. As for the activities, your awards/leadership experience/work experience really stand out. Are you applying RD?

Haha, IB is a great community, but its college cred might be a tad overrated. Glad to see some Mont County classmates here. :)

I’m applying RD, yes. Quite honestly, looking at Johns Hopkins’ admissions standards and my application I consider this school to be quite the reach. I’m not trying to fish for reassurance - but while I appreciate your assessment forgive me if I find it a little generous. What do you mean by “competitive”?

your GPA is a bit low, but everything else is on point. You need to somehow show the admissions officers that you messed up 9th grade but you’re working hard to do better.

I’d also say you’re competitive- your stats aren’t so high that it seems like a sure-in, but they are high enough that you definitely have a good shot of getting in
