Chance as a Anthro transfer

applying to

UCD
UCSC
UCLA
UCR
UCSB

have a current gpa of 2.85. Possibly 3.0 if I take Spring classes and do well. But I will already have everything complete including IGETC and prereqs and a transfer AA degree after this Fall. I'm a CA resident and transfer student. So yeah just want chances for these campuses for now. I'm guessing UCSC and Riverside are reach. UCD is a maybe. UCSB or LA practically impossible unless I have the best personal statement in the world lol.

According to https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof13_mjr.htm#PW</a> , chances of a UCLA transfer are very slim. You are correct, you will need a stellar personal statement.

Why not wait one more year to boost you GPA?

You have a shot at UCR and UCSC if you raise your GPA to 3.0. The rest are total crapshoots.

I agree with @luckie1367 and @k4201505.

Try to raise your GPA as high as you can. Ultimately though, you’ll have to rely more on extracurriculars and personal statements to get into the more exclusive UCs. Good luck.
