Chance as a transfer to UChicago

<p>I'm currently a freshmen whose major is math & econ. I need some advice on my chance to UChicago...</p>

<p>Current University: Vanderbilt University
Current courses:Cal 3, intermediate microecon, Java, Composition
Current GPA: Now it is the middle of the fall semester and all my midterms ,quiz, homework go well(all higher than 95). Hopefully a 3.9-4.0.</p>

<p>High School:
GPA: 3.8
HS Rank: 15/570
SAT: 2230
SAT 2: Math level 2: 800, Chemistry: 780, Physics: 780
AP(all 5): US history, Micro, Macro, Cal BC, Chemistry.</p>

<p>I think you have a fabulous shot, and I think the University really needs someone like you. As long as you can convey why you want to transfer here, I think you have an exceptional chance.</p>

<p>And please ignore nondairycreamer. He is a current applicant, and based on his sarcasm, he probably doesn’t want you to apply (because your chance is pretty high).</p>

<p>@Divine Comedy: Thank you! Are you a UChicago student? I am really interested in UChicago’s math department and the “math major with a specification in econ” program.
Also for nondairycreamer. I think he probably referred to my similar tread in Columbia’s forum because I am interested in Columbia too…
