<p>I am an international student from south east Asia. I cam to know about the university when they were visiting my country. From that moment on I am very interested in this college. It is everything I wanted in a college environment. But I don't think I stand out as a strong applicant which worries me. I need financial aid as well.
SAT- 1880 (Oct11), but expecting 1900+ (700+ M, around 600 CR and around 650+ W) in Nov 8 SAT
SAT 2(Dec6) - Maths 2, Chemistry, Biology expecting a 700+ each
TOEFL (Nov 28)- Will meet the 100 mark anyhow
A-levels- Biology-A Chemistry A Maths B Physics B General paper b
High school(before a levels): 87% in country's grade 10 test (Nation's prestigious exam)
Achievements: Biology topper of country in As level, consistent top 5% throughout high school, several academic awards.
ECs: Mixed martial art (past 6 months); soccer, basketball, and track and field (Running)- throughout high school, numerous quiz and spelling competitions(intramural), took part in Mahabharata play (run for a week in the city) and several other school dramas.
Volunteering: Volunteer in local dental clinics, volunteer teaching in rural school, currently trying to work for NCEP (a project to help under privileged children)
Essay: Working on it and will complete it before the deadlines (trying to make it as good as possible)
Also fingerstyle guitarist (past 3 years, self taught and am recording a video soon), president of social service club (Palanchowk club) in high school for a year (member before). First generation to college if this is considered.</p>
<p>I know my profile doesn't stand out like some other stellar student profiles. But I am genuinely looking forward to study here. I can afford around 10-15k$ a year. So even if I apply, is there some chance that I may get selected?</p>
