Hey there im looking to apply to a 0-6 Pharmacy School in the near future, im currently a Junior in High School, Class of 2012 at Newport High School. I was seeing if my stats are competitive enough to start applying to 0-6 Pharmacy programs, because I heard that getting into a pharmacy school is becoming competitive and only 1 out of 10 that apply will get in, which worries me : /. I saw somewhere that statistics show that 96,000ish people applied to pharmacy and only 11,000-12,000ish got in. Since im 99% sure what I want to do his pharmacy I feel that getting into a 0-6 Program would be the smart/safe choice.

Stats:
3.85 GPA unweighted :D
PSAT Scores: 1900-2040 ( Taking real SAT on May 7th, Currently on take home test getting M:700-740, CR: 600-630, W:600-670 )
High School Tennis Team
100+ Hours working with kids
Key Club
Orchestra at school

Other Info that Could or Could not affect:
Senior Year I plan to take AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Stats, AP Psychology. I also might move from in the beginning of my Senior year, in which case I am wondering would my class rank be for my old school where I spent most of my classes? Or if I do move, ill be in Las Vegas where I think I won't be able to take those AP Classes listed above, and where I think my Class rank would jump up, due to the fact that my current High school is full of people taking 5-6 AP classes each year :[, and our class rank is weighted. I do not know my current Class rank, but i've asked my consoler and I should receive an email later. I am also currently looking at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy for their 0-6 Pharmacy Program, and I was wondering if anyone that is accepted to it if I have a good chance of getting in/how competitive is the 0-6 Pharacy programs there. Also out of the 12 other colleges that have a 0-6 Pharmacy program, which one do you think I would have a good chance of getting into?
Please comment, would love the help :D. Also if you know the average stats ( or can maybe ball park it ) of kids entering the 0-6 Pharmacy Program, that would be extremely helpful.

I’m pretty sure if you apply to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Boston, you will definitely get in. They have a PharmD 0-6 program and I have around the same gpa as you, but a pretty bad ACT score. :/

Thanks, so you were accepeted into MCPHS? I heard some pretty bad stuff about that school though : /, I know im not suppose to believe everything I read, but yea. Do you know anything about my chances at USP? :D

I got into the Pharmacy program with the following profile:
- 3.8 GPA (6.19 Unweighted)
- Three AP Courses and Three Honors courses overall from Freshman to Senior Year
- Several extracurricular (Asian Culture Club, Track Team)
- 600 CR, 560 MA, 700 WR
- Sibling in the school who is also in Pharmacy program

I submitted my application relatively early, though, like around mid-November. Because USP accepts applications on a rolling admissions basis, you should submit your application early. Other than that, I think you’re a great candidate for USP’s Pharmacy program. If you’re scoring that high on the PSAT, then you should be okay in terms of your SAT score.

Check out this website for other stuff about USP as well:

Aw i see, Thanks, I took my SAT today… and well I didnt think I did as well as I Could, so what would you say the minimum SAT Score would be to enter?

You will for sure get in to several places. From my experience (well, my friends’) Northeastern is the hardest to get into. MCPHS and PCP are pretty easy to get into (I think you’ll get into both. I’ve seen plenty of people with lower stats than you get in). The only others I know of are Rutgers (not as hard as Northeastern to get into) and St. Johns (not as hard as Rutgers)

Again, these are my experiences from the kids in my school and my classmates.
