I have a semi-broad list of schools, but I'm just curious where I'd get in, and if I'd get in with good merit scholarships (aware this is unlikely/impossible for the ivies, but still). The schools are:
Drexel
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
Cooper Union
Lehigh University
Columbia
Stats:
GPA: 4.00
WGPA: 5.56 out of 6.00
SAT: 2250/2400, 1530/1600 (one sitting), 800 M, 730 CR, 720 W
Planning on taking SATII Physics and Level 2 Math
Honors/AP classes: 5/6 math classes (taking geometry in middle school hurt me here), 4/4 science classes, 3/3 history classes, 1/3 foreign language (italian), 0/4 English
AP testing: Taking Physics B and Calc AB this year (junior), and possible tests next year include Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Calc BC, Physics C: Mech, and Physics C: E/M (probably won't take all of them due to financial constraints).
Extracurriculars (year count includes senior year):
Marching band for 3 years; going out for section leader next year (but unlikely)
Jazz band for 2 years
Pep band for 2 years (no longer available)
Wind Ensemble/Concert band for 3 years
Youth group for 4 years; Will most likely be in a leadership position next year
Volunteering at a Christmas party for the underprivileged through youth group.
Applying to jobs this summer (something to tack on if I get a job).

I hope the fact that my extracurriculars are something a little outside of what someone in my major (engineering) would have, that it'd help my cause, but what do I know?
So yeah, thanks for any chances you're willing to give! I know there's still a lot of "if"s here, but it's all I have to work with at the moment.

Your GPA and SAT are fantastic!
I don’t know anything about Carnegie Mellon, Cooper Union or Lehigh University.
But i think you have a really awesome shot at cornell, Drexel, + columbia.

Just realized I forgot to include this (not intended to be a bump at all), but my class rank is the top 2% (have no numbers because I’m a junior), and I forgot to mention that I will be in orchestra for 2 years by the time I graduate.
Not extremely important, but I just realized I forgot these and I can’t edit my post at this point. Oops.

You’re competitive for all of those schools.
I wouldn’t say that the Ivies are impossible and I would recommend applying to a few more than just columbia

P.S. I had very similar stats to you (GPA, Scores, ECs) if you want to check out similarities, i’ve been updating my chance thread.

Lol, your one of those people who I like to make fun of on college confidential. “Hey guys, I have a 101% average and my sat scores are 2401. Do you think I’ll get in? I’m really worried that my perfect SAT score isn’t perfect enough”. You’re fine, honestly you can’t be sure with the best schools but you are even at the top 10% of those who are applying to the top schools. Could you chance me? My GPA isn’t all that great and my SAT is ok but I finished calculus BC in 10th grade and I do really good in Math and Science. Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1297781-chance-mit-jhu-duke-wustl-etc.html

You are extremely competitive for all of these schools. You have incredible stats and ECs, and you should be very proud of that regardless of where you get accepted. Congratulations on a great high school career, thank you for chancing me, and good luck!

I’m more worried about financial aid, than getting in, honestly. Although I suppose I’m also jaded due to being on here so long. =P
