Chance at a T14?

I go to CSUF, first year. I used to want to transfer, but now I actually like the school.

So my question is: do I have any chance at a T14 law school if I graduate from CSUF? Or are my chances pretty much out the door?

I know that LSAT and gpa heavily factor into this, but I'm just checking to see if school matters THAT much.

bumpppp!!

anyone know the answer at all? or something close to it? it would really help me figure out where i stand!

LSAT seems to be most important factor. A CSUF grad with a 172 LSAT will have better choices than a Harvard grad with a 164 LSAT. If you can get a 169 LSAT and a 3.7 or so, you would have a shot at a T-14 acceptance.

IMO- A Harvard grad with those stats (169/ 3.7) would most likely get admitted to a few T-14’s; a CSUF grad with those stats has a shot at one or 2 T-14 acceptances.

Thank you!! Your response is really appreciated.

Any idea how personal references, essays & extracurriculars (leadership, volunteering, etc) factor into it?

also, do you get bonus points for holding a job that took 20 hours + out of the week while in school?

That’s a great question. I’ve always worked 20 - 25 hours a week, though usually more, and maintained a very competitive GPA. I’ve wondered if the admissions committee would take notice of something like this.

Not really a major factor.

seriously? it’s not a big factor? it takes up half our lives and then the other part is school.

that’s ridiculous if they don’t consider that.
