Hey guys! I was wondering what my chances would be to enter ASU! When I graduate I should have a 3.7 gpa (right now I have a 3.3, and if I get all A's my junior year that'll bring my gpa for that year to be a 4.42 for that year making my overall a 3.7)! I also should be getting an sat score of 1800-2000! I'm looking into the polytechnic campus if that's any harder to get into..

Extras:
I am the Vice President of the Class of 2015 (2013-)
FBLA Officer and Member (2012-)
Student council member (2012-)
Student Council officer (2013-)
Varsity Rugby Team (2012-)
Co-Founder of Rugby Team (2012)

Thanks!

Plus I’m a minority (Puerto Rican)… If that adds to anything.

Bump… Please anyone?

Dude you’ll get into ASU easily. Maybe try for the Barrett Honors College @ ASU?

My guess is you’ll have a 95% chance. The average GPA acceptance rate and SAT scores at my school for acceptances there was about 3.2 GPA and 1800 SAT.

Another bump! Can I get more opinions on this matter please? And for the people who have already replied, thanks so much! Seriously!

First off, even with a 3.3 that you have now, you should have a pretty good chance since like fiery271 noted, ASU is extremely accepting. Their acceptance rate is like 88% last time I checked (may have changed) which is reallly high. Also, your EC’s won’t matter for ASU admissions. They only look at transcript, test scores, and GPA, so don’t rely on your extras (at least for ASU).

Also, I’d recommend using your current GPA to gauge/chance schools. It’s always good to look positively in the future, but if you rely too much on getting a certain GPA that you predicted you would get, and you don’t for some reason, you’re just going to set yourself up for disappointment. Trust me, I did and it’s quite disappointing when you try, but you don’t get all those A’s you were predicting.

The only time ECs will matter at ASU is for Barrett.
