Try Mt. Holyoke
Agnes Scott (love this school)–cross reg with Emory, great mascot
Simmons–nice school with lots of cross reg colleges nearby in Boston
Sweet Briar–tiny school with lots to offer, gorgeous campus,
Hollins–so much to offer here. YOu might just love this school
Russell Sage–Many people love this school

BMC is known as “the scholarly sister” for a reason. The students are studious and very hard-working. While the environment is collaborative and supportive, the students take their academics very seriously over there. So your challenge will be to show admissions that you can work (and thrive) at that level.

Your most important job is to keep your grades up. Way, way up!

I would also consider meeting with an admission rep at BMC to discuss the things you can do over the next year to make yourself the best possible candidate.

Good luck!

I would say reach, specifically because of your GPA. However, your extracurriculars are impressive. If your midterm grades for senior year were all As to high Bs I would say you have a shot. Bryn Mawr isn’t necessarily looking for stats, they want to see that you can keep up with their rigorous curriculum.

are you talking with the coach about vb? bmc doesn’t seem to put as much emphasis on athletic recruiting as some others, but you never know if that will matter.

Explain your grades, it might definitely help your chances, especially if your grades are getting better. I had a similar issue sophomore year, and I think I’ll still probably get in. Also fill out an online recruit form. I’m an athletic recruit and while it’s no guarantee of admission it definitely helps
