Chance at Cal Poly Pomona?

SAT:
Critical Reading 540
Math 650
Writing 550
Total 1740

GPA(according to the app): 3.14 gahh...

EC:
AFJROTC Drill & Ceremony for 3 semesters
110~ Comm service hours

Doing AP CalcAB and AP Chem(only 2; doing them senior year)

Major: Computer Science

Also planning on applying to:
Cal SU Long Beach
Cal SU Northridge
Cal SU Sacramento
San Diego SU

I'm trying to apply to any college that specializes in Computer Science, so I'm open to suggestions.

I don’t know much about Cal or Poly, but for Pomona…your GPA, scores, and EC’s seem a bit on the lower end. Pomona’s highly selective, so the average student there will have great HS credentials. If you don’t mind…what’s your ethnicity? Smaller schools like Pomona typically want a diverse student body. Just a thought :/

Well, CSU Pomona accepts a wide range of students; its just a regular CSU with a specialty in technology. I’ve seen what people have said about Pomona and Poly San Luis Obispo but I know they’re more competitive than Cal Poly Pomona. I’m asian by the way.

Can anyone tell me my chances? I’ve raised my SAT CR: 550 Math: 730

Also, I want to know whether I have a chance at the UC’s too. I need a fast response because I didn’t even try taking the SAT II’s yet.

with your sat and gpa you should be fine. I believe CS in the College of Science and the averages are a 3.37 gpa and 1066 on the SAT. CS is not an impacted major like Architecture, vet science and civil engineering, so your higher SAT should make up for your lower GPA. Hope you get in.
