Chance at Cal Poly?

I go to a high school in Southern California and want to major in general/industrial engineering at Cal Poly.

Weighted 10-12: 4.05
Unweighted 10-12: 3.75

I messed up freshman year and did not take it seriously, receiving a 2.9
However, I attained a 3.7 sophomore year and a 4.4 last year and am currently on roll to get a 4.6 and straight As this semester

I have taken: AP Calculus AB, AP US, and AP Physics B

Currently enrolled: AP Calculus BC, AP Gov, AP Physics C, Advanced Composition

I received a 4 on Calc, a 3 on Physics, and a 2 on US

My SAT is a 600 R, 660 M, 740 W with a 10 essay

My ACT is a 31. 35 E, 32 M, 28 R, 29 S with a 10 essay and 33 E/W score

I also played football all 4 years and lettered, I wrestled as well as track and field and also was part of CSF, JSA, and other clubs.

The only thing I am worried about is my freshman year, will my chances be extremely slim because of it, or will they see the upward trend of my grades and my hard work to get back on track?
Any help would be appreciated as I really want to attend SLO, thank you!

Bump bump bump

Engineering is the most difficult major at Cal Poly. However, you have good stats and I think you will get accepted. The most important factor in whether or not you get accepted is your intended major. Engineers typically have a 3 or 4+ GPA in high school.

More people please! Will chance back!

Also my 31 is from the December test date and I just sent my score report and changed it on my app. Will this be accepted? I assume so because they allow you to make changes to your app till the 15. Someone who knows please let me know because I don’t want my previous score, a 29, be seen rather than my 31

This is very pivotal in my application, someone who knows please help!

Bump bump please

It should be accepted - they will see both scores if you sent your 29 in the past, but that shouldn’t be an issue since they will pick out your top score to consider.

Just fyi that Cal Poly only considers your math/reading scores for the SAT, so unfortunately your 740/10 will not be considered.

Good solid application worthy of acceptance.

Any other opinions?

You have better stats than me and I was accepted for Architectural Engineering.
I think you have a really good chance of getting in
