My Cal State GPA is 3.7 and my SAT score is 1160 so my CSU eligibility index is 4120. I am applying to CSU Long Beach, San Diego State, CSU LA, and Cal Poly Pomona all as Biology Majors. I wanna know what are my chances are for these schools especially for Long Beach. I live in the Montebello Area. Which other CSUs should I apply to? Maybe Fullerton?
SDSU is a Reach. Average EI last year was 4459 and target EI is around 4300 to be competitive.
CSULB is a Slight Reach with an average 3.9 GPA and 1200 SAT for 2018 Biology admits.
CPP looks like a Match and CSULA is a safety since you are local.
You might want to add CSU Fullerton or San Marcos for Match schools Dominguez Hills would be a good safety.
Best of luck and realize that Biology is one of the more popular and competitive majors at the Cal States. Depending upon your career goal, Micobiology might be a good alternate major if not listed under the Biological Science major.
