Thanks.

haha. we got the same score freshman year on AMC10.
and you are in. definitely.
and about national merit. there is no way you dont know if you are semifinalist. you either are, or are not. you may be a semifinalist and dont know if you are a finalist, but i dont think there is such a thing as national merit scholar non-semifinalist. do you mean commended?

oh oops. im a semifinalist. i forgot to change that when i posted this. i copied it from a while ago, so yea.

and that damn half a point on amc10, lol

"you are in. definitely"
I wouldn't be so adamant. I would only say that if you won the AIME or something like that.
But don't get me wrong. I think your chances are really great. You've got great math/science stats/EC's, so I think CIT or MIT would be ideal schools for you. And your AMC scores trump by a good 10 pts lol. Good luck, you're definitely looking good

Wait. Those AMC scores are nothing special. A 6 is pretty good on the AIME, but again, it's nothing special.

You never played a sport? And what do you mean by your HS is competitive? Is it private? Public?

You look like a slightly above-average candidate for CIT. I'd give you an 80% chance of admission.

i go to a public hs in ny. by competitive i mean we had 4 people go to harvard, 1 to princeton, 25-30 to cornell, 9 to yale last year

Excellent chances.

You jackass.

You're too smart.

(to other people, I know who this is in real life)

Don't you have three tests to study for tomorrow?!

This needs to stop, ALBERT.

I HAVE TWO TESTS TO STUDY FOR.

all i have to say is, people like the guy who posted before me should be worried...
