You’ll prolly get in.

i’m leaning towards no. i don’t think your ACT is high enough. i’m sorry.

@Flipper - Thanks! I hope so too
@Bighouse - Damn.

You are good. I have a question about GPA though. Is that GPA out of 4.0 or 5.0 since its weighted?

It’d be out of a possible 5.0. I think a 3.9 weighted would fall around 3.6? And would this weighted/unweighted business matter if UMich wasn’t recalculating GPA’s anymore?

Also, I was considering taking the Biology and Math II Subject SATII tests? Possibly Physics and Chemistry? Would this help or not

I read some stuff and i dont think its worth the money for the subject tests… is U of M the only place you wanna go?

Uh yeah, don’t listen to bighouse…you’re in.

I have a feeling that BigHouse was being sarcastic.

You are definately in…so shocked you are even asking. But since you did…your ACT is great from MI…but as an engineering major, I am a bit surprised by your math subscore and perfect reading and english scores…what type of engineeing interests you?

I’m thinking about biomed, definitely. I’ve already exhausted all the possible science classes offered at my school (which would explain dual enrollment for next year) and I’m really interested in the subject matter

Why do these kinds pf threads always show up? You know you have almost an 100% chance of getting in, this is just like the thread below.

You do not need subject tests with those stats unless you are considering other schools like NorthWestern etc. Are you a National Merit Finalist with that PSAT?? Your ec’s are also impressive might want to be pres of one of those clubs when you return in the Fall…they love leadership…truly shows how well rounded you are…now knock those essays out of the park and you might see some $$$$. Just don’t write about a sports injury or the BIG GAME and how you scored in the last 5 seconds…that is not unique and they get waaaaaaay too many of those. That diversity essay is the BIG ONE…be creative…think outside the cultural diversity box…They also get too many essays about Foreign Country mission trips…now if you lived in a Foreign Country that is different.
