TDitty21…I think if you keep your grades strong senior year and possibly improve your M+CR score a little you’re in a great position to get into U of Minn Engineering. Here is a link to the profile stats on admitted freshmen from the fall of 2010. Your current high school rank (make sure you hold top 10%) puts you in the largest group of admittees to CSE, and your current M+CR score is right at the average for CSE but towards the bottom of their largest group (1300-1600 M+CR). If you can up that score somewhat it will improve your chances but I definitely think you’re on the right track. Your EC’s look really solid as well, so just keep up the good work. Good Luck!!

I’ve been accepted to University of Minnesota - twin cities, school of engineering today.
So I thought maybe I could share some of my stats to help you out.
I’m also an out of state applicant, pretty competitive public school.
My ACT was 28. Weighted GPA was 3.55.
Good luck! :)

My daughter has an ACT 29 and an unweighted GPA of 3.65 did not get accepted into CSE. She was accepted into CLA, however.

Update: She received her acceptance letter to CSE on 3/7.
