Unfortunately, I got deferred from my ED1 school, so I have been looking for somewhere to do ED2 to and I saw that Franklin and Marshall’s pre med program is very good/they have great financial aid packages and my counselor highly recommended it to me.

Hi there! I may not be of any help to you, as I am also a senior applying to F&M, but I’d say you have a fairly good chance of admission based on your gpa and strong EC’s, besides your SAT score. Since you have strong essays, I think you should submit those instead. Did you do both optional essays for F&M?
My nephew was accepted last year with a 3.8 UW and a 4.24 W and a 1310 SAT. If you have strong essays, I would recommend sending those instead of your SAT. Have you visited the school? It’s very nice and my nephew has had really supportive profs and deans. I also like the “house” system- there are five houses and you’ll be assigned to one (based on a survey, maybe? I can’t remember that detail). Anyway, he chose F & M over Boston College, Holy Cross and Occidental. I think he made the right choice. I’ve visited the school twice and am a big fan. Also, they gave him a fantastic financial aid package with only $4k in loans per year- the rest was grants.
@Emsmom1 I have visited the school and I really enjoyed it. Do you think that not sending my test scores could hurt my chances of admission? There has been some controversy regarding those who don’t send their test scores but need a significant amount of financial aid and I just want to make sure that I wouldn’t be jeopardizing my chances of admission by holding back my scores, even if they are below average.
