Chance at getting accepted to a UC?

<p>So the title pretty much says it all. I'm an senior IB student with a 2.9 GPA unweighted about and about 3.3 weighted. I slacked off during junior which explains the low GPA. My SAT scores are at 1600, but am planning to raise that this weekend. I have decent ECs.</p>

<p>What are my chances of getting into the UCs? </p>

<p>And how much would IB assist in that?</p>

<p>Going based off the very little you posted, I want to say I know people with lower GPA/scores who have gotten into riverside, merced and santa cruz - so you may get into one too.</p>

<p>No chance at the higher tier UCs. I think your chance at Santa Cruz is extremely low. You have a small chance at Riverside and a better chance at Merced. I think you should get accepted at Merced but it’s possible that you’ll be waitlisted/rejected. As for the other two, they are unlikely.</p>
