Chance At Getting In At Harvard Through Track

Im an African American Male Sophomore in High school. I do Indoor and Outdoor Track. My time for outdoor track for the 100m is 12.4 and My time for the 200m is 25. I go to a rigorous Private school and take 3 honors classes, and ended the year last year with a 3.3 GPA. My dad is an alumni of Harvard. Do I have a chance at Harvard

Focus on academics. Unfortunately your track times aren’t in the ballpark.

A 3.3 absolutely isn’t going to cut it.

For coaches to be interested, you must be able to score points in Ivy track meets. For the Men’s 100 m Dash, Ivy sprinters at the Princeton Heptagonal Meet in Spring 2013, had results of 10.37 to 11.46 seconds.

Those times give you an idea of the talent you will need to attract interest.

Probably not. It’s Harvard.
