Hello! I'm a rising senior and I'm thinking about applying to Johns Hopkins for ED. I'm Asian and I attend a private catholic school. I just want to know what my chances are.
GPA(unweighted): 4.0
SAT1: CR:660 Math:700 Writing:790 (I'm planning on taking it again. Aiming for 2300)
Extra-curriculars:
My extra-curricular activities are mainly involved around band.
Band(class-representative for band council, flute-1st chair)
All-Region band(flute-6th chair)
TAPPS Music (superior rating for flute)
National Junior Honor Society
National Honor Society
I've gotten many other awards at school.

I really want to attend JHU next fall!
Thanks!

I’m not sure what your chances are, but Johns Hopkins likes to see subject tests. They do not require them; however they strongly recommend them. Also, if you are applying for a double degree program with Peabody, check the requirements for auditions.

Good luck!

ED really helps at JHU. Just be aware financial aid is not great. Good luck!

Subject tests are not necessary - my daughter was accepted regular decision with no subject tests. My daughter had slightly higher CR/M SAT scores than you - I would definitely try to improve the CR score. I think it may come down to the rigor of your coursework - did you take a lot of AP or IB courses? Are you taking a rigorous schedule senior year, or going easy? The essays play a big part in the evaluation as well. Good luck!
