Chance at Miami (OH)

I'll start with bad news and work my way to good news!

3.34 GPA, Unweighted, I'm ranked in the to 60th percentile of my school. Which is unreal, but that's the way it is. I do have a C on my transcript in Algebra II, however I'm retaking the class and I currently have an "A", so my GPA will rise. My school doesn't wieght classes.

I have taken all honors/AP courses.

My other downfall is my below average ACT- 25
-I took this in October. I sent it in, however I recieved an E-mail at Miami saying they've completed my application. So I hope they have looked at this ACT score.

Now for the good news.......

I was selected by teachers and guidance for participate in Badger Boys state, which is a leadership and Government simulation camp.

My recomendations are fantastic, I have My AP American Studies teacher, Spanish 5 Teacher, and Guidance Counselor.

Here are my Schools --- Reaches to Saftey
Babson
Bentley
Syracuse - Great Interview, Hinted at acceptance... still a reach
Miami (OH) - Top choice ED
Elon -
American
Saint Louis Unversity - ACCEPTED
DePaul
Minnesota - I'm "instate" by living in Wisconsin

Sorry for the lenght of this post. I really appreciate any though/comments/suggestions. Is this a correct plan for me to go to Miami, or should I wait until my GPA changes and Go RA.... my GPA won't change offically until Jan, but my Counselor will mention that It will improve.

Thanks

Note.... I Send My Application In To Miami Ed... So I'm Just Wondering If You'll Think I'll Get In?

Babson and Bentley will be reaches. Syracuse should accept you but don't take the hint for granted.

I think that you will get into some of your reaches b/c you live in Wisconsin. I don't have anything concrete to back that up, but a school like Bentley has nearly half its students from Ma. I do think geographic diversity will matter, but not at Babson (they have 20% international students). Just for your information, Syracuse and Bentley do have average sat scores that are quite similar, in fact the verbal at Bentley is 540-610 and at Syracuse it is a bit higher, 550-650.

Babson & Bentley are business only schools so I think they will be looking for one type of applicant making it a bit more difficult.

I say you get into Babson, Bentley, Syracuse and your #1 Miami (OH)

I have my doubts about Babson, but I appreciate everyon's insite, and more is appreciated!

I live in OH and nearly 10% of my graduating class goes to Miami. Trust me, it isn't that hard to get in. There have been plenty of kids that had around 3.0 GPA and ACT scores way below yours that got in. Don't stress about it!

Babson is way too focused on entrepreneurship I personally feel. I think you won't get a well rounded education nor a well rounded business education. Nobody goes there for anything other then entrepreneurship.

I also live in Ohio and for my school the acceptance and attendance rates are also very high. However, Miami takes a bunch of in state kids. That being said, they said this year's applicant pool was smaller which may help you out. I think your in, but it would be hard to garuntee anythink.
