Chance at MSU?

I want to major in Computer Science at Michigan State University in East Lansing.

I am a senior, first generation American (my parents are from the Ukraine).

ACT:27

GPA: (4.0 scale)
Freshman: 1.87-1.9
Sophmore: 2.89-2.98
Junior: 3.1-3.0
Senior: WIP

Summer School Extra Classes:
Consumer Econ: 4.0
Health:3.76

I have taken two honors classes, both being for Spanish. I have taken AP Comp Sci but didn't do to well on the AP exam (I got a 2 :L, but I got a B+ in the class.)

I am getting a recommendation from my Comp SCI teacher she is a ten year and used to work at NASA. I am also getting a recommendation from my English teacher who has been teaching 20+ years in different states and countries (including the middle east) and still works for Navy Intelligence. Both teachers are strict on who they give recommendations and both gladly accepted to write mine.

I don't have glowing EC but I am the AV director for Philosophy club (i direct the advertisements for my club.) I am a Black belt in Hapkido and I go to tournaments bi-annually (and do well). I am Board 5 on the A team for my school's chess team. I also always have a 3d animation movie being accepted to be played at the Art Festival at my school. (Two of them one best animations.)

The reason why I did bad freshman year was because I picked difficult classes and to many of them and it was stressful to the point where I gave up. I then picked regular classes except for Spanish Honors 3 Sophomore year and I did a helluva lot better. I then took one ap class to test the waters Junior year and I think I did good. And now I am confident that I can take the three ap classes.

By the end of the year I will have taken 5 math courses, 4 languages, 5 histories, 4 sciences and 4 years of English 2 semesters of a fine art and two years of an applied art.

Tell me if I have a chance and what I should do to strengthen my chances. Thank you.

Side note: I looked at their acceptance history at my Highschool in the past three years and here is an image of it. (The thing showed my stats from junior year and didn't calculate my new act score.)

Update: I got my progress reports and they look solid so far. (UW)
Calc: 90%
English:86%
Ap Psych: 87%
Ap Euro: 82%
Cad: 100%
Ap ES: 77%
Obviously Apes i'm not doing well in because I did bad on the first test but the teacher is offering ec so I'm going to take her up on that offer and hopefully boost my grade up to an 80% and we have one more test and journal check in psychology so hopefully I can pull it up.

According to my school’s “database” of the average GPA of previously accepted students to MSU, the average GPA of accepted students is a 3.1, and the average SAT of accepted students is a 1640.

Seeing that your GPA has been improving with a positive trend and that you have been taking challenging classes regardless of your previous struggle, they may consider that.

My school’s database works based off the people from my highschool who applied. It also gives the following, average GPA 3.32 and ACT is 26. The Lowest to get accepted was a 2.62 and 18 and early decision 3.1 and 21. Average is 3.2 and 26. Only four has been denied out of 71,

Your comment and these stats made me feel a lot better. From 1-10( 10 being im in and 1 meaning they are laughing at my application) how much of a chance do I have to get accepted?

Michigan State gives students the “pre-major” status for most majors…meaning that your GPA AFTER 60 credits determines if you will be admitted to a certain major. Even if you get admitted to MSU, you will also need to have 3.2-3.5 GPA to get admitted to the CS program after your sophomore year.
