Anyone that's willing to tell me my chances would be great, i'll certainly chance back.

Notre Dame is pretty competitive. That said, your grades are really great, your test scores are very good, and you have some good ec's. They will also like the fact you shadowed a doctor for a week, as it shows you are really interested in what you want to major in. I like your chances. I would say high match - low reach.

thanks guys... appreciate it if more people gave their views...I will chance back.....do you think the fact that I explicitly mentioned that Notre Dame was my number one school my whole life will help my chances? Any thoughts?? Thanks

I think that you mentioned it will help you but you have to remember that admissions people see that kind of thing everyday. So it may not help as much as you think it may. It all just depends on how well you expressed yourself. I think yoiu should be fine. It's obvious you've taken a rigorous courseload. Now it just matters how much they like you.

I think that you stand a very good shot, your grades are great while also showing that you took a fairly tough courseload, and the EC's are good. The only thing that might be a concern are the test scores, but I don't think that they will be as negative of a factor if you wrote some good essays and have good teacher recs. So ND stands somewhere between a match and a high match.

Your GPA is great, which will help the most. SATs are average though, but hopefully they'll look at your awesome grades, rank, and ECs a little more. I'd say good chance...but nothing certain.

Recs from alumni are a major plus. Your standardized test scores are all within Notre Dame's range, although it wouldn't hurt to get all 700s. To be a pretty much perfect applicant, you could involve yourself in some ECs with a religious/Catholic flavor. Overall, I would say admissions doesn't have too much of a decision to make when they reach your folder--you're in! Good luck!

hey biner thanks so much I appreciate that. Just to let you guys know I have a letter of rec from an alumni there (a doctor- i shadowed him for a week in Selinsgrove Pennsylvania in a preceptorship)...and I also have a letter of rec from my local priest who was a friend of the family too, what do you guys think of my letters??? WIll chance you guys back. Please chance me....THANKS

Thanks guys....And Vividi, yes I did spend a considerable amount of time on my essays, which I think really portray my unique life and give a clear view on how I'm different than the ordinary applicant. In addition, I talked about how i shadowed a doctor for two weeks and discussed the present health care problem in depth, and since I'm going into Pre-Med, I was wondering if that helped at all.

The doctor I shadowed for two weeks was an alumni at Notre Dame, and I got a letter of recommendation from him (he's been a family friend all my life).

How much do you guys think that hellps my chances??? Thanks so much... WIll CHANCE BACK ---Have been doin' it to everybody else so far...Trust me
