Chance at NYU

<p>Hello once again!</p>

<p>I went to CollegeBoard and checked out some colleges, and wondered if I had a chance at NYU. I live really close to Manhattan, and I really like the campus of NYU.</p>

<p>Asian female, upper-middle class, public school</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA: 3.75
Weighted GPA: 4.675
Class rank: in Top 5%</p>

<p>SAT I First time: 1890
SAT I Second time: 2010
I plan to take it the third time in October</p>

<p>SAT II Spanish: 660
SAT II Math I: 610
(These scores are horrible! I will retake them)</p>

<p>AP World History: 5
AP English Language and Composition: 5
AP Spanish: 3 </p>

<p>ECs: (This part I fear I am lacking)
3 years of volunteering at my old preschool - about 240 hours
2 years of Spanish Club
4 years of Newspaper Club - I am going to be the Editor-in-Chief of the club next year
ESL tutor
Member of the National Honor Society</p>

<p>You need more schools than just nyu..</p>

<p>I plan to apply to other schools as well, it's just that I'm really interested in NYU.</p>

<p>^Isn't NYU need-blind? The only top 25 college that I know of that isn't is JHU...</p>

<p>NYU does not meet need, they take tons of kids and give them nothing.</p>
