If I had to guess, I’d say in. Your stats are good and I believe 1st generation is a huge hook at NYU. By the way, in case you’re worried about FA, NYU has a huge scholarship for first generation students and you don’t even have to apply for it.

Awesome :D

I’m getting a ton through gov aid already, 5500!

What school are you applying for. Your SAT is kind of low, but still keep your hopes up.

I really don’t know…

What ever PoliSci is in

um…political science? ■■■■■.

I believe that is in CAS.

Why is political science funny? I will probably try to double major or minor in macro

We are very much alike!
And yes, I do believe you will be accepted.

Where else did you apply Sousa9?

OH, i misread that. i thought u had asked “What ever PoliSci is”…as in, ‘what does PoliSci stand for?’ so, i was like 0_o

I also applied to Boston U, UC San Diego, and UC Irvine.
I know, not many. I wish I had applied to more.

If there is perspective needed on my first EC (student union), then here it is:

Also Sousa, I applied to UCLA, UCB, UCSB, UCD, USC, Stanford + Yale (for fun), NYU, and LMU. LMU accepted me already.

Hmm so lets say I get accepted, but my second semester Calc BC grade is like a D/C-, will it affect admission? My AP Gov, AP Econ, Lit, and Soc grades will probably be As/B+s.

Very nice!
UCI and NYU (LSP) have accepted me.
Just waiting to hear from the other two.
And I’m pretty sure you just need to maintain a 3.0 and you’re good.

I agree with Sousa9 with your chances. I was accepted with very similar stats into LSP. Plus, I’m a first generation.

Whats LSP? I applied to arts and science.

LSP = Liberal Studies Program.

Basically these students take a bunch of liberal arts courses for their first 2 years, then actually enter CAS (and Steinhardt and/or Gallatin - maybe?) as juniors and continue on with whatever major they choose. This is offered to student who don’t quite make it into the college they applied to, but are still admitted to NYU. Not all NYU colleges LSP applicants, like Stern.

Oh I see, do I have more of chance to get to CAS or will I probably get into LSP?

Also, I’m having trouble deciding now between staying in PoliSci only or double majoring in Macro/Polisci or Macro/International Relations. Can I switch once I get accepted?
