I applied to Penn State University Park campus last year as a Biology major and got accepted.

3.9 GPA unweighted
Some honors classes (my school did not offer AP courses)
Related to distinguished alumnus
Toured the school - met most of the important people. My parents also did this the April before I applied with aforementioned distinguished alumnus and met most of the important people.
SAT 1740 (520 math, 560 reading, 640 writing)
I think I applied early decision but I can’t remember.
A good amount of EC’s. Maybe between 100-200 hours?
I applied as out-of-state (from California)

I saw your other post for Rutgers. I also got accepted there. I did not tour the school, nor did I speak with any important people there.

Your SAT is too low, so right now you could only be admitted only to a branch campus. Post again once you have received your scores.

Just want to note that for PSU, they only count GPA (2/3 of decision) and SAT/ACT (1/3 of decision). They really don’t care about activities or recommendations.

I’d say it’s a match/high match
Good luck! I hear it’s a beautiful campus :)
