Chance at Reaches!

I am a freshman at Emory looking to attempt to transfer to either Harvard, Columbia, Princeton, or Yale. Basically I applied to Emory thinking I wanted to go pre-med or study business, however now I want to focus more on economics and likely double major in chemistry. My only real edge is a very likely 4.0 (1st Semester) with a difficult course load. Thoughts....

Prospective Major: Chemistry and Economics

Princeton doesn't take transfer.
Poor chance at the rest of the ivy.
You're only a freshman, they weight your highschool grade a lot more, and it doesn't look like you have adequate credential. Attend Emory for another year, maintain the GPA and then you will have a very good shot.

I'm concerned that the ivies won't see your reason for transferring to be compelling. Isn't Emory good for those subjects? It might look like you're a prestige hunter.

lol I'd stay where you are

Prestige Hunter is a bad thing?

All fair comments. I was only wondering if the numbers line up at all... and clearly I'd write a more compelling essay (if I did apply) than what I just spat out on CC.
