Chance at Rice?

Hello, I am a senior who applied to Rice RD and would like to see what others think my chances at getting into Rice are. Rice is my dream school and I have visited it twice since I live about 60 miles north of Houston. I had an interview on-campus which went excellent and really wowed my interviewer when I told her that I actually ride a sport bike to school rather than drive a car. I plan on majoring in physics and getting either a minor or BA in mathematics depending on whether time permits the BA.

Ethnicity:
My dad is of norwegian descent while my mom is a naturalized citizen originally from Hong Kong.

SAT I:
Math: 680
CR: 700
Writing: 610
This was in one sitting and I had stupidly never studied for the SAT because I expected it would be like standardized state test.

SAT 2:
Math 2: 740
Physics: 750

ACT:
Composite: 32
Math: 34
English: 28 (I am not a english person)
Science: 35
Reading: 30
Writing: 8

Rank: 44/724, expected to move up during the spring ranking, I was 72 during my junior year.

Gpa:
UW: 3.63/4.0 (I was a slacker freshman year and got 3 C's and mostly B's, grades show an upward trend)

W: 4.29

AP Courses(all A's with 2 B's tossed in):
English language
English literature
Calculus A/B
Calculus B/C
Physics C
US History
Art History
Macroeconomics
US Government
Psychology

Around 5 honors/PAP classes as well

EC's: not many since my family is in the lowest income bracket and I had to work at least 20 hours a week to help with everything. I do MMA, have a blue belt is BJJ, play several musical instruments, partake in recreational archery, etc.

Letters of rec:
One is from my Calculus A/B teacher, who is a Rice alumna, in whom's class I had a 98 average and "demonstrated" leadership. The other letter(Rice usually only accepts one) I gave to my interviewer and is from my Art History/French teacher and is absolutely glowing.

Essay:
My supplement essay was about my move during sophomore year from super liberal bay area Nor-Cal(where I had lived my entire life) to the heart of Texas. That anecdote was mainly a humorous hook smoothly leading to my conclusion stating that I would be bringing a very eclectic mix of attributes to Rice given the chance to attend.

My common app essay was about many high school students show very little care to the sciences and mathematics which are both very dear to me.

Sorry for being long winded but I wanted to be thorough. Btw, a friend of mine at my current school was accepted into Rice ED; will Rice admit 2-3 applicants from the same school?

I think you have a good shot. I would be slightly concerned about the number Rice takes from your school, but I don’t think in your case it will matter.
