Do I have a shot?

Your GPA and ECs are quite good. If you can get the ACT up to a 33+ that would help you a lot more. I have quite a few friends who got into the program and they said at the welcome session the Michigan people told them that the average ACT is a 33, so it wouldn’t hurt to be around there. Also, the OOS might factor in, probably negatively. I’m going for Ross too.

i got in preferred admit and these were my stats

i’m a white male from southern california

ECs:

I am also on ASB (commissioner of clubs and activities)

and I work ~15-20 hours a week at a sports store

senior schedule
lit ap, gov ap, econ ap (micro and macro), physics ap, ASB, multivariable calculus honors, art 1 (lolol look how well i can draw, what a joke class)

cubsrule, you certainly have a shot, but Ross is a reach, regardless of the applicant’s credentials. As Yungkhalifa points out, try to improve your ACT to 33 and apply early.

Im going to be taking the ACT two more times. But if I don’t get into Ross as a pre admit then is it even worth going to michigan lsa and then applying Ross or is that too risky?

It is not risky, but it is not guaranteed either. Besides, Michigan LSA is not exactly chopped liver. Michigan’s LSA is one of the best colleges in the nation.

I love chopped liver!

Completely depends on whether you get into any other target schools.

At the welcome session, one of the deans gave these averages for pre-admits: W GPA: 4.1, SAT either 1420 something or 1470 something (don’t care about the new section I guess), ACT: 33. Several kids had their own businesses, several had patents. One kid’s business grossed over $200K last year. Jeez.
